- Hello and welcome to Nurture & Nanny's June Newsletter!
Last month I had the opportunity to watch the first child I ever nannied for graduate from High School. As I sat there and watched him receive his diploma, I was overwhelmed with the memories of our history together. Here was this man about to embark on a whole new chapter in his life and all I could think of was how he loved having a warm baba before going to bed at night and how cute he looked at age five in his spiderman costume.
Even though I no longer nanny for this family, they are still a huge part of my life. My family celebrates every holiday with them and no major decision is made regarding my life until it has been discussed over tea at their kitchen table. I only hope that we can provide our nannies the same opportunity to work with families that give them the chance to make memories of their own with the children in their care.
A great way to spend some quality time with your children or the kids in your care this summer and begin making those memories is to take part in Sunkist's "Take a Stand" Program. Sunkist is giving away 10,000 free lemonade stands to kids ages seven to 12 interested in raising money for charities of their choice. Learn more at www.sunkist.com/takeastand
All the best,
Lara
